Yesterday I wrote some notes on how to buy Ballroom and Latin Dance Shoes.
Today I want to let you know about the accessories you'll want to have for your new shoes.
A note about shoes accessories:
When you decide to buy a pair of Ballroom or Latin Dance shoes be sure to buy a shoe brush and a shoe bag with them.
Here's why they are important:
Shoe Brush:
While dancing, the suede or split leather sole can (and will) get a build up of wax from the wood floor. It creates a hard slippery surface and makes it harder to dance. As I mentioned in yesterdays post, a slippery floor (or shoe) is not a fun thing for a dancer twirling and whisking around the floor. The shoe brushes are made with short, steel bristles that get the job done.
Shoe Dance Bag:
Picture this your all dressed up, you going to a great event and then you put your dance shoes in a plastic bag? OH, no, it just won't do! You'll need a shoe bag to arrive in style. Also, having a shoe bag will protect your shoes when you are not using them. And lastly, it gives you a place to put your street shoes once you go dancing and change your shoes.
So when you make the purchase of your favorite dance shoes be sure to get the necessary accessories to go with them. You'll be so glad you did!
