I was so happy to have a little visit with my mom a bit earlier today. When I stooped by she was watching a movie so, I joined her for a while. It was an oldie but goodie, “Three Little Words” with Fred Astaire and Vera Ellen.
It was a sweet, romantic story and very typical classic movie storyline, of course with it's share of wonderful dance scenes. What amazing choreography and talent. It's just so beautiful to watch Fed Astaire glide so effortlessly across the floor, and Vera Ellen with her amazingly, incredible extension!
I just love these classics and the romance of the dance they shared in the 1930's, 1940's and 1950's. Foxtrot, swing, tap, love songs, ahhhhhh.
I enjoyed it so much that I thought I'd post a few dance clips from youtube here for your enjoyment.
Hope you like them!

DanceStrong! DVD Review
I met a man in San Luis Potosi, Mexico in 1986 who claimed that he was a workout dancer with Fred Astaire. He had a room dedicated to everything Astaire: photos billboards, records, letters etc. He put on a stack of LP's and he and his daughter, Claudia, danced non-stop for over an hour in his 60' patio as his entire family watched. I do not remember his name. He was about 70 and never worked up a sweat! FANTASTIC !
